Suspension, Termination and Withdrawal

Suspension and Termination of EduTrust Certification

The CPE may downgrade the EduTrust award type, terminate a Certificate and impose a debarment period of one year or otherwise suspend the Certificate for up to six months, under conditions stated in clause 8.1 of the EduTrust Terms and Conditions.

The PEI will be informed by the Council in writing about its suspension or termination, and the reasons for the suspension or termination.

A PEI with a suspended Certificate may have its certification status reinstated subject to any assessments and/or conditions that the CPE may impose.

A PEI which has its Certificate terminated by the CPE may re-apply for EduTrust certification after serving the debarment period of one year, and the PEI shall abide by the conditions under Clause 3. The CPE shall reserve the right to accept or reject the re-application received from the PEI.

Withdrawal from EduTrust Certification

An EduTrust-certified PEI may voluntarily withdraw itself from the EduTrust Certification Scheme by giving at least 14 days’ written notice to the CPE. A PEI may also withdraw from the scheme by not applying for renewal and allowing the certificate to lapse after the validity period.
